In Loving Memory of Alicia Roa Alderete
June 23, 1958 – June 17, 2025
Woodland, California

With deep sorrow and enduring love, we announce the passing of Alicia Roa Alderete, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who entered eternal rest on June 17, 2025, at the age of 65.

Alicia was born on June 23, 1958, in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, to José and Enriqueta Alderete. At just 15 years old, she courageously moved to the United States, where she would build a life grounded in love, resilience, and unwavering faith.

While working as a tomato harvester, Alicia met the love of her life, Fernando Roa. What began as long days in the fields quickly blossomed into a beautiful love story, and together they built a strong, loving family and life full of shared dreams and sacrifice.

Alicia’s life was a testament to strength and perseverance. At the age of 29, she was diagnosed with kidney failure—a battle that tested her but never broke her spirit. Through it all, Alicia never lost her faith. At age 31, she received the gift of life: a kidney donated by her beloved sister, Enriqueta Alderete. That selfless act gave Alicia many more years to love, laugh, raise her family, and bless the lives of all who knew her.

Over the years, Alicia worked tirelessly as a homemaker, forklift driver, and entrepreneur—selling gold, clothing, and blankets to support her loved ones. She was passionate about dancing, music, cooking, and even doing laundry. Her joy came from the simple things and from pouring love into everything she touched.

Her home was always open. Whether you came for a meal, a conversation, or comfort, Alicia made you feel welcome and cared for. She lived with a servant’s heart, always putting others before herself, and never asking for anything in return.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Fernando Roa; her loving children, Angelica , Laura and Fernando; and her treasured grandchildren: Noemi, Rafael, Angel, Christopher, Malissa, Johnathan, Emorie, and Emmitt. She also leaves behind her siblings Jose, Jesus, Carmen, and Mariaelena.

Alicia now reunites in heaven with her parents, José and Enriqueta Alderete, and her dear brothers Gregorio, Javier, and Raymundo Cisneros.

As Alicia always said:
“I will always be in your heart and in your memories; however, you will learn to live without me.”

Alicia’s life was a gift, her love unconditional, and her faith unshakable. Her story reminds us all that even in the face of hardship, love, faith, and family can carry us through. The Roa Alderete family is deeply grateful for the continued prayers, support, and compassion during this time.
